"I've got an idea…"

"Yeah, right. Ideas — there's plenty.

And the 'dry crackers' will be the ones to make them happen —

mark my words."

"And who the heck are these 'dry crackers'?"

"Well, they're the ones who get up in the morning

and sit down to make all sorts of ideas happen

while the sleep's still dropping from our eyes into our coffees."

"Sounds like some seriously hard-baked dudes…"

"Well, yeah. These guys count time

in money per minute and

percent per hour. Give these guys an idea

and they'll turn it into a paying business

while you're still eyeing it front and back…"

"Well, I'm not gonna give it to them, am I…"

"Man, you just share it with someone,

with me, say, and they're already printing

the barcode on your idea…"

"Jeez. I thought you at least were my

friend…"

"Oh, come on now…

What's that supposed to mean?

I said it as an example.

It's not like I'm getting up right now and going

off somewhere to blab your idea around.

And who knows what kind of idea you've got

this particular morning anyway."

"Well, it's not bad…"

"Well, if it's not bad, eye it front and back

and get going on it from one end or another."

"Man, you got out of bed on the wrong side this morning.

Some kind of paranoia, some kind of hell…"

"Oh yeah, sure. And tomorrow when you see your idea

made real by somebody, you'll be singing me the same tune again…

Just keep your idea to yourself and make it happen your own way,

I'll get on with my coffee."

"I kind of wanted to share it…"

"Well, that's just what I'm telling you… Don't."
