Poem
Father and Son
Alexander Androv
Translated from the Bulgarian · Баща и син
In the middle of the big city
a father and son
at daybreak were launching
a model boat on a model lake.
For the father, who had seen
the real boat and the real lake,
all that remained was to explain
to his son what a “model” is.
Under the shady branches of the willow,
close by,
an old fisherman was catching, in his sleep,
a catfish.
