1.
A crack between two buildings.
Grey sky above.
The eyes roam up and down,
up and down.

2.
What a lovely backdrop
behind the sitter’s head.
In this photo studio
they paint like masters.

3.
Hidden among the trees,
a few figures
that cannot be seen.
A portrait of the trees.

4.
For two hours now
the photograph hasn’t stirred.
Not a bite.
The shadow of a hat across the face.

6.
Behind the exhibition’s back.
Gazing out through the window.
Behind his back, 17 works.
Now he was resting.

7.
The blood was not dripping.
No wind was blowing.
Either he had died long ago
or I was looking at a photo.
