Translated from the Bulgarian · Неговият брат

His brother
was born already dead.
Left alone for two hundred grannies to spoil,
he never let the memory of him go.
The new piano in the corner holds its tongue.

Mum wept a long while.
Dad got drunk. Or is he faking?
His brother waits for him on the corner,
wants to play cops and robbers today.
